Starting 01/01/06, Brad is going to watch one movie, everyday, for 365 days. This site will serve to document all rules & exclusions of the "Challenge" as well as keeping track of Brad's progress.

The Rules

  • The Challenge begins at 12:00 a.m. on 01/01/06 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on 12/31/06
  • Each 24 hour day starts at 12:00 a.m. (Midnight) and ends at 11:59 p.m.
  • All movies must be "feature length", which for this Challenge shall be defined as no shorter than 75 minutes.
  • Only movies not previously seen will count. Movies previously seen will not count as your daily movie.
  • Adult or pornographic films count as long as they meet the "feature length" requirement and have not been previously viewed.
  • Fast forwarding at any point is considered a disqualification.
  • You may only watch films in a theater, on VHS or on DVD. Movies shown on TV do not count unless they are on premium cable channels such as HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc.
  • All films must be watched in their entirety. If the film has a "Theatrical Cut" and a "Directors Cut" either will count as long as they are not edited or presented with commercial interruption. For example, catching Scarface on TNT or any other network/cable channel does not count as they are usually presented edited for content and to fit the time allowed
  • If 24 hours (from Midnight to Midnight) pass without watching a feature length film, YOU LOSE.
  • Starting 01/01/06, Brad is required to update this site or its webmaster every three days. All movies viewed will be posted here as a record of his progress.
  • Good Luck!

Exclusions

  • In the event of serious illness or death, a 24 hour grace period is allowed. This would extend the normal 24 hour period to 48 hours in which you would have to watch a film.
  • However, this grace period can only be used for a total of three times/occurrences.
  • If you happen to go blind, you forfeit.
  • If you happen to go deaf, you had better watch movies with subtitles.
